Effective September 17, 2015, new Identity and Access Management (IAM) passwords must be at least 10 characters long.
The expiration has been extended to 90 days rather than 45 days.
You are not required to change your password today, however when your current password has expired, the 10 character requirement will be in effect.

All passwords must contain characters from three of the following four categories:

  1. Uppercase characters (A through Z)
  2. Lowercase characters (a through z)
  3. Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
  4. Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)

Password history requires that a password be different from the five previous passwords.
